Meet the Owners
Owner/Brewer Ben
After graduating Cal State Berkeley as an English and Film major, Ben initially worked in the entertainment industry as a short-form copywriter and media editor. Once his first child was born, he sought to be closer to home, and spend more time with the family. Having spent much of his personal time as a home brewer, he was able to get a position as a brewer’s assistant at Wolf Creek Brewery. During that time, he obtained his 2nd level Cicerone Certification, with the hope of ultimately creating his own brewery. In November of 2017, it all came together when, following 2 years of development and planning, he was able to open Brewery Draconum (Draconum from Latin, meaning "of Dragons"). Since opening, Ben has created several popular “signature” brews (Ale of the Golden Dream, Saison Draconum, ABVaf, and Ebon Drake Baltic Porter), while also continuing to introduce new seasonal profiles throughout the year.
Owner/General Manager Caroline

Throughout her life, Caroline has enjoyed a few different careers, from High School Math Teacher to Theater technician and lots of little jobs in between. However her work life started in restaurants, and would continue between careers, and even during summers while teaching. Caroline has spent many years working every front of house position in restaurants. So when Ben was preparing to open the brewpub, Caroline was just moving back from Seattle, and the timing couldn’t have been better. She jumped right in to help launch the business, taking over the general managing/operational responsibilities of the restaurant. She then started to apply some of her creative sensibilities to help hone the vision, beautify the garden, finesse the menu and build awareness throughout the community. Together, they continually work to find interesting ways to integrate the crafts of brewing and cooking to create unique flavor profiles that complement each other.
